About the Role

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our team on a locum basis. As a key member of our endoscopy service, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the endoscopy service, including elective and emergency procedures
  • Manage patients on the gastroenterology wards, including daily ward rounds and in-reach services to the Acute Medical Unit
  • Run the GI ward on a 1 in 7 rota basis, providing daily ward rounds for 7 days
  • Attend MDTs and see referrals
  • Contribute to a 1:15 on-call rota for out-of-hours emergency endoscopy
