Support for Learning Assistant

Job Summary

Falkirk Council is seeking a Support for Learning Assistant to join our team at St Patrick's Primary School. This role is part of our efforts to provide high-quality support for children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general supervision of children to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Support children with additional support needs to ensure individual plans are carried out regularly and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver effective learning experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Positive, can-do attitude and flexibility in approach.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Working Arrangements

This is a part-time (12 hours) role, working term-time only. The salary will be adjusted pro-rata accordingly for part-time and term-time work.
