Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer the Health and Safety Management System folder, ensuring timely completion of all required tasks.
  • Collate and analyze H&S incidents from Datix reports, identifying trends and near misses to inform proactive measures.
  • Update local health and safety arrangements and policies as needed, disseminating information to the facility.
  • Maintain the Hospital Wide Action Plan spreadsheet, following up on outstanding actions as directed by the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Administer Health and Safety Flash alerts, responding to the central team within the 7-day time frame and collating departmental responses.
  • Assist with health and safety training, including record-keeping, course registration, and certificate issuance.
  • Inform the Health and Safety Manager of any delayed actions or risk assessments.
  • Take minutes and distribute minutes of all Health and Safety meetings, including Water, Fire, Waste Management, and Safety Representatives meetings.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry or a similar customer-oriented organization.
  • Ideal candidate has 3 years of administration experience.
  • Understanding of health and safety and risk issues, as well as relevant legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite to meet the role's requirements.
  • Ability to manage competing pressures and conflicting priorities effectively.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Car driver (ideally)
