At MBDA UK Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Architect to lead the management of missile and subsystem requirements.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading overall product structure, mechanical interfaces, and architecture. They will also focus on missile mechanical architecture issues, lead architectural trades with partners, embody generic policies, and conduct technology maturity and design complexity assessments.

Key responsibilities include phase gate reviews, supplier technical management, and accountability for assigned budgets. The ideal candidate will have proven team leadership experience and be able to influence senior partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge missiles and subsystems.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 depending on experience. In addition, we provide a bonus of up to 21% of base salary, pension contributions of up to 14%, and up to 26 weeks parental leave. Our site facilities include subsidised meals, free car parking, and a gym.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree-level education and industrial experience. You should have experience in electro-mechanical and mechanical design, developing proving logic and compliance evidence, and determination for on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery.

You will also need to have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence senior partners and demonstrate international leadership experience. An understanding of broader engineering fields is essential, and you must be able to relate to Product Design.
