Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide effective leadership and develop the engagement of Buyers, working with suppliers to improve their performance across multiple metrics. This role involves effective project management and coordination to deliver materials and projects in line with SQDC requirements, regularly reviewing KPIs and implementing plans to improve supply chain performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and develop the engagement of Buyers
  • Work with suppliers to improve their performance across multiple metrics
  • Effective project management and coordination to deliver all materials and projects in line with SQDC requirements
  • Regularly review all KPIs, communicate, prioritise, develop, and implement plans to improve the performance of the supply chain including suppliers, manufacturing locations, and regional distribution centres
  • Identify areas of risk in the supply chain, effectively prioritise, develop, and implement plans to mitigate such risk
  • Develop supplier relationships and drive improvement in supplier performance by recognising both positive and negative achievements and communicating effectively to promote the pursuit of excellence and best practice both internally and externally

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (either business or engineering focus)
  • A willingness and ability to travel abroad frequently (EMEA)
  • A high degree of self-motivation and ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Experience of negotiating project and technical requirements with System Integrators and the User community
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement
  • Experience in lean manufacturing including Kanban, PFEP, LEAN

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain Management qualification
  • Leadership experience across different countries
  • Understanding of ERP systems
