**Job Title:** Product Development Technologist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Technologist to join our team at PP Associates Ltd. As a Product Development Technologist, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts and leading new product development (NPD) and enhanced product development (EPD) projects from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer accounts and lead NPD and EPD projects from concept to launch.
  • Develop innovative designs and capture new key trends for both NPD and EPD projects.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment to ensure all key milestones are met.
  • Champion recipe creation and all documentation throughout the concept to launch process.
  • Source new ingredients that meet customer and site requirements and costs.
  • Attend customer submission meetings and send out kitchen samples to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Work closely with process technologists to organize trials and ensure all raw materials are ordered in advance.
  • Organize pre-production launch meetings and oversee first product launches.
  • Support teams' workload to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • Work closely with specification writers to ensure alignment with project updates.
  • Attend onsite meetings and support innovation days.
  • Attend quality panels and competitor benchmarking sessions as required.
  • Be the link between customer needs and requirements and the process technologist's adherence to factory processes.
  • Support and ensure transit trials are completed and recorded.
  • Send out photography samples and public relation samples.
  • Research new ways to produce and improve the quality, processing, and packaging of products.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Maintain own accounts targets and timescales.
  • Launch products on time.
  • Maintain/achieve positive relations with customers.
  • Support others to complete projects on time.
  • Engage customers through innovative concepts, themes, and ideas.
