CAE is seeking a highly skilled Regional Support Engineer to join our team based in Gatwick. As a key member of our support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our training centre network across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to our training centre network, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Travel to CAE sites to lead the resolution of discrepancies and provide on-site technical assistance.
  • Develop and implement tests to validate software fixes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform thorough troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with our team on site to gather technical details and provide expert advice on product issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our technical teams and OEM partners to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and successful project delivery.
  • Support the deployment of CAE projects, updates, and new deliveries in the European region.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest systems and technologies, and share your knowledge with the team to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Technical degree in a relevant field, such as aeronautical engineering, or significant experience in a related field.
  • Proven experience in design, development, and/or maintenance of full-flight simulators.
  • Minimum 5 years of software design experience, preferably using C/C++ or FORTRAN in a real-time environment.
  • Experience with operating systems such as Linux and Unix.
  • Deep knowledge of CAE Classic technology and Thales technology.
  • Familiarity with CAE 7000XR devices and L3 devices is a plus.
  • Strong aeronautical knowledge, including flight dynamics and aircraft systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to resolve problems.
