Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Adult Social Care team at Stockport Council.

  • About the Role
  • As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting ongoing learning and developing the skills of others within the Adult Safeguarding Service.
  • You will use your extensive experience in statutory social work, particularly the Care Act and Safeguarding enquiries, to provide leadership and demonstrate professional knowledge in complex situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading Safeguarding enquiries and providing expert advice
  • Developing and implementing protection plans to prevent harm
  • Collaborating with adults, families, and professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes
