About the Role:Our client, a growing company in the facilities maintenance sector, is seeking a skilled and versatile Commercial Facilities Maintenance Assistant. This position is based in Derby and involves covering various facilities contracts throughout the East and West Midlands.
You will be responsible for a wide range of general maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform minor plastering, decorating, and flooring repairs.
- Replace door handles, hang pictures and mirrors.
- Conduct minor works such as mounting skirting boards and doors.
- Carry out general commercial cleaning tasks where required.
- Assist with furniture moves for our client's customers.
- Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Van provided/expensed travel.
- Full training for any work-specific tasks.
- Excellent growth opportunities within the company.
- Temp to perm contract for the right person.
- Immediate start available.
- Previous experience in general maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- UK licence with less than 4 minor points (due to insurance restrictions).
- Flexibility to travel across the East and West Midlands as required.
