Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Engineer

ATA Recruitment is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Derby. This is a 3-month contract opportunity with a competitive hourly rate.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Maintenance Engineer to ensure the upkeep of our client's building and the operation and maintenance of mechanical pumps. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance of building facilities and systems, including lighting, HVAC, fire alarms, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment with a focus on pumps, including strip, rebuild, and test procedures.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth operation of mechanical systems.
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergencies efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments as needed to achieve common goals.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on mechanical systems and pumps.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including technical drawings and manuals.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Mechanical engineering qualification preferred, but not essential.
Benefits:
  • Monday to Friday day shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week available.
