Care Support Assistant - Learning Support Assistant Role

The School:

Academics Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Care Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Reigate, Surrey. The school provides support for primary, secondary, and further education-aged pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs. All students have a designated Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) outlining their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support students with complex learning needs, including Autism, Downs Syndrome, and communication needs
  2. Work closely with the therapy team, including SALTs, Occupational therapists, psychologists, and counsellors
  3. Implement effective communication techniques and specialist support methods
  4. Provide high levels of care and support to students, including 1-1 support and therapy sessions
  5. Contribute to the development of individualised education plans and therapy programmes
  6. Participate in staff training and professional development opportunities
