Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a special needs school in Reigate.

About the School:

The school provides a safe and supportive learning environment for primary-aged children with severe and complex learning, social, and communication difficulties. Our team works closely with therapists to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our students.

We have excellent facilities and on-site equipment, including a therapy pool, sensory rooms, and I-Gaze technology. Our school also offers excellent training and support to help our staff progress in their careers.

About the Role:

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will provide assistance and support to children before, during, and after lessons. You will help children understand and participate in tasks in an appropriate way, encourage the development of social skills, and maintain individual student records.

You will also help build confidence and motivation, participate in team meetings and training programs, and work with managers and employees to support the developing culture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance and support to children before, during, and after lessons
  • Assisting children to understand and participate in tasks in an appropriate way
  • Encouraging the development of social skills
  • Maintaining individual student records
  • Helping to build confidence and motivation
  • Participating in team meetings and training programs
  • Working with managers and employees to support the developing culture of the organization
