Mondrian Alpha is seeking a skilled Market Data Analyst to join our team and make a significant impact in the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide close support to the desk on issues related to market data, manage BAU activities, and handle small projects to meet broader business needs.
  • Propose new processes, tools, and approaches to solve business problems and enhance user experiences.
  • Define new functionality required by projects across front, middle, and back offices.
  • Investigate complex functional software issues, perform root cause analysis, and establish effective solutions.
  • Identify and manage risks, flagging major issues early.
  • Participate in on-call rotations until 11pm CET (Mon-Fri) one day out of five.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with financial market domain companies such as funds, investment banks, brokers, market infrastructure, and data/platform vendors.
  • Strong background in SQL and data interrogation, with hands-on experience in Python.
  • Experience with different asset classes (Equities, Bonds, Derivatives) and a solid understanding of their features and life cycle.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Familiarity with market data systems and financial data providers like Bloomberg, Reuters, S&P, etc.
