**Salary & Benefits**

**Job Description**

In this role, you will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient phlebotomy service to all areas of the hospital, working closely with our clinical teams to deliver exceptional patient care. Your duties will include:

  • To provide an excellent phlebotomy service, adhering to agreed operational policies and procedures;
  • Supporting the team in delivering care that improves the health of individuals and the wider community;
  • Demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect, and dignity;
  • Developing your competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge/skill and expertise;
  • Communicating effectively with others involved in patient care;
  • Acting as an advocate for safeguarding patients and demonstrating courage to speak up when concerns arise about care;
  • Demonstrating commitment to improving care and the patient experience.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working as a phlebotomist in a hospital or GP setting;
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence;
  • Previous experience in a clinical environment/medical laboratory;
  • Phlebotomy skills and experience desirable;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
