Are you a current or graduate University student looking to earn extra money? This role supports students who are deaf or hard of hearing and for visually impaired students at the University of Hull. The primary requirement of this support is to make a comprehensive set of notes to meet the needs of the student for access, review and revision purposes.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce an accurate, typed record of lectures, seminars and discussions in the student's preferred format.
- Notes should contain pertinent information from the session (and any questions and discussions if required) and may need to include diagrams or be referenced to any lecture handouts.
- Be familiar with the university buildings and rooms.
- Act in the best interests of students at all times whilst also working within the policies and procedures of the university.
- Ensure student confidentiality, professionalism and respect at all times.
- Act as an anonymous notetaking if this is preferred by the student.
This role is ideal for students who are looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity to support their peers. If you are a good communicator, have strong note-taking skills and are able to work independently, then this could be the perfect role for you.
