Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a School Support Worker in a specialist autistic setting in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with autism, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive academically and socially.

About the Role

This full-time position involves working five days a week in Milton Keynes, providing tailored support to students with autism in their day-to-day learning and social development. You will assist with behavior management, promote positive behavior, and help create a safe and nurturing space that meets the individual needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with autism, assisting them in their academic and social growth.
  • Assist in behavior management and develop strategies to promote positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive environment for students.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £13.33-£15 per hour, based on experience, and opportunities for further training and development within a specialist setting. Our team is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and we are looking for someone who shares our values and passion for supporting young people with autism.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience as a School Support Worker or in a similar role, and a genuine interest in supporting young people with autism. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team.
