We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Finance Lead to join our team at Reckitt. As a key member of our Finance team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our global business.
As the Operational Finance Lead, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to drive strategic decisions and improve operational excellence. You will work closely with our supply chain team to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Your Responsibilities- Partner with operational and business support managers to prepare budgets and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate the conversion of Hull conversion costs to report costs, providing detailed explanations for key variances.
- Review and analyse weekly reports on labour for the Hull site and mid-month updates for all areas, with monthly reports including detailed variance analysis.
- Lead productivity initiatives for the Hull site and track in-year savings for all improvement initiatives and proposals.
- Support the development of the Operational Finance team, including 5 direct reports.
- Review and challenge material variances for waste, stock write-offs, and bill of material changes, including weekly KPI reports with sufficient detail and analysis.
- Support the evaluation of related Capital Expenditure to ensure maximum return on capital expenditure and manage the Capital Expenditure process in conjunction with the Engineering team.
We are looking for a fully qualified accountant with CIMA certification (preferable). You should have experience working knowledge of key manufacturing topics, including material and manufacturing variances, fixed costs reviews, and labour analysis.
You should also have proven experience of managing a team, strong IT skills, including SAP-based accounting systems and Excel, and good interpersonal skills.
The Skills for SuccessThe ideal candidate will have business acumen, investment analysis, budgeting and forecasting, project management, and accounting principles. They should also have financial reporting, internal controls, financial analysis and reporting, stakeholder engagement and influence, strategic thinking, risk management, and relationship management skills.
