Job Title: Financial Controller

Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and strategic decision-making across the site. This position oversees the financial accounting and reporting process, providing critical insights to the management team to inform effective decision-making and ensuring a robust compliance and control environment.

Key Accountabilities

Site Finance Leadership

  1. Embody the Group's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  2. Lead strategic projects, driving transformation and growth opportunities, including new business wins and operational setup.

Financial Control

  1. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment and demonstrating diligence and independence.
  2. Collaborate with the Commercial team to manage product costings, investigating deviations and promoting corrective action.
  3. Oversee the timely and high-quality delivery of the period-end financial close process.
  4. Implement global accounting policies and procedures, leveraging enabling technologies to drive efficiency.
  5. Manage treasury activities, including cash management, in conjunction with the Working Capital team.
  6. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring efficient processes and positively impacting working capital balances.
  7. Coordinate internal and external financial reporting requirements to the Group, statutory authorities, and key stakeholders.

Finance Function

  1. Establish consistent standards and efficient ways of working across the Finance team.
  2. Contribute to the Group's ambition to deliver a best-in-class Finance function globally.
  3. Collaborate with the IPL Europe Finance team to deliver a high-performing, consistent, and insightful finance solution for the European business.
  4. Work with Central teams to streamline reporting solutions using ERP, Power BI, and Excel.

Additional Information

  1. A proven Financial Controller with an excellent record of financial and operational achievement, driving accuracy, efficiency, and controls.
  2. Change management experience, with the ability to lead key projects and implement system changes.
  3. Good understanding of IFRS and local standards.
  4. Fluency in English language skills.
