GCSE Mathematics Examiner

At Pearson, we are seeking a highly skilled Mathematics Examiner to join our team of subject matter experts. As a GCSE Mathematics Examiner, you will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to the conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
The role involves marking scripts in accordance with the mark scheme, ensuring overall standards are maintained, and submitting samples to your Team Leader at designated times. You will also be required to ensure milestones for marking are adhered to and that all administration is completed as specified.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high level of subject knowledge in Mathematics, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. You will also need to have a degree or equivalent and be a qualified teacher.
This is a part-time role, with a standard allocation normally taking between 40-45 hours over a 2-3 period. As well as being paid a daily rate, we provide training for all examiners. The role is primarily home-based, however, it may be necessary to attend some meetings throughout the year.
