Job Opportunity

The Career Agent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in a dynamic and exciting role. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our purchasing operations and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base to meet company demand and negotiate contracts to reduce costs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring they have the capacity to deliver to requirements.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Engineering, and Assembly teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Line manage a company buyer to deliver excellent work and provide guidance and support as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a complex product or industry.
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems and negotiating with suppliers to reduce costs.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (CPP, CPM) is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + profit share.
  • Permanent contract.
  • 5 days in the office with flexibility offered for supplier visits.
