About the Role

CPI is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Placement Student to join our Automation and Digital team. As a Placement Student, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting digital projects, applying your skills and knowledge to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement digital solutions to address engineering and scientific challenges.
  • Analyse and interpret large datasets to extract insights and optimise processes.
  • Assist in managing and analysing data using tools such as Python, JMP, and Alchemite.
  • Present and formally report experimental conclusions and supporting data.
  • Support the set-up, plan, and execute experimental/pilot scale runs.
  • Maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) requirements.

The Automation and Digital team focuses on deploying state-of-the-art techniques to enhance intelligent formulation generation. We leverage advanced data strategy with our automation tools to ensure that every step from data generation to analysis adds value to the project.

Requirements

You will be studying (or have recently completed) a minimum of HNC or Degree level (or equivalent) in a Scientific/Engineering discipline. You will have demonstrable skills in technical problem-solving, with a particular emphasis on applying digital or programming solutions to complex engineering and scientific challenges.
