Electrical Engineer Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Electrical Supervisor in maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and statutory requirements.
  • Implement GSK Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety procedures to ensure maximum availability of electrical engineering equipment.
  • Liaise with users and planning departments to adjust schedules in line with company GxP guidelines and KPIs.
  • Communicate progress to users and the Engineering department, providing timely advice on delays to maintenance schedules or processing plans.
Main Duties:
  • Perform all duties and tasks to established GxP standards.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are met, providing information to support client QI processes as required.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and rectify faults to a proven level of competency.
  • Carry out isolations to Company standards, enabling the safe disconnection of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Check, test, set, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment to proven competence levels.
  • Operate and monitor plant items and services, maintaining systems to Company standards.
  • Record information, such as work done, time taken, and material used, in the appropriate equipment logbook or asset history file.
  • Liaise with the Electrical Supervisor to generate and review assets/PPMs, prioritizing day-to-day work to ensure compliance with SOPs and SLAs.
