Electrical Engineer Job Description

At Mitie, we're committed to delivering exceptional results every day. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Electrical Supervisor in maintaining operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and statutory requirements.
  • Implement GSK Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety procedures to maximize electrical engineering equipment availability.
  • Liaise with users and planning departments to adjust schedules in line with company GxP guidelines and KPIs.
  • Communicate progress and advise on delays to maintenance schedules or processing plans in a prompt and professional manner.
Main Duties:
  • Perform all duties and tasks to established GxP standards.
  • Ensure Service Level Agreements are met.
  • Provide information to support client QI processes where required.
  • Carry out electrical technician duties.
  • Lead specific jobs and direct other craftspersons, technicians, or contractors.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and rectify faults to a proven level of competency.
  • Perform isolations to Company standards for safe disconnection of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Check, test, set, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment to proven competence.
  • Operate and monitor plant items and services, maintaining systems.
  • Comply with GSK, Mitie UK procedures, and Health and Safety at Work Act responsibilities.
  • Record information in equipment logbooks or asset history files, following GxP record retention.
  • Perform tasks on BMS to personal competency.
  • Liaise with the Electrical Supervisor for asset/PPM generation, reviewing, and prioritizing day-to-day work.
  • Ensure site-specific procedures and MITIE QMS are followed.
  • Promptly document incidents.
