The Role

This part-time position involves managing our school facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will be responsible for overseeing repairs and maintenance work, coordinating with contractors, and performing general handyman duties. Your experience working in a school environment and ability to liaise with staff and students will be invaluable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repair of school facilities, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work;
  • Coordination of building works and contracts with external suppliers;
  • General handyman duties, including cleaning and upkeep of premises;
  • Minor repairs and maintenance work;
  • Liaising with staff, students, and external agencies to ensure smooth day-to-day operations;
  • Providing support and assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience working in a school environment;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Packages;
  • Possession of relevant qualifications and certifications (e.g., DBS clearance).

Please note: The advertised actual salary range reflects the maximum amount available after 5+ years of continuous service with local government/schools. The starting salary will be calculated based on individual circumstances.
