Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Accounting Expert to join our Corporate Reporting team at Forvis Mazars. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical accounting and corporate reporting support under IFRS and UK GAAP (including FRS 101 and FRS 102) to our audit teams and clients.

About the Role

  • Addressing accounting and corporate reporting technical queries across various sectors and industries;
  • Reviewing financial statements for quality and compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP;
  • Providing tailored accounting technical support to key audit clients;
  • Assisting with audit proposals and supporting the development of junior team members;
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Solid technical understanding from completing ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) accounting qualification and robust technical accounting knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and UK Company Law;
  • Experience in evaluating technical issues, analyzing facts, consulting, and delivering solutions to audit teams and/or clients;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly writing formal reasoned technical responses;
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work, with strong attention to detail;
  • Experience working at a senior manager level or above in a professional services firm within a similar accounting technical role.
