Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and the ability to work autonomously, leading a team and managing complex problems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Current NMC Registration
  • First level degree
  • Post registration Critical Care Qualification
  • Evidence of current CPD
  • 3 years Professional clinical experience in Critical Care speciality at Band 6 or above in Critical Care.
  • Highly developed clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with experience of successfully resolving complex problems
  • Ability to successfully manage people and change
  • Extensive experience in managing own workload / and leading a team.
  • A knowledgeable clinician with the ability to apply evidence based practice
  • A sound knowledge of professional policies and procedures
  • A knowledgeable clinician with ability to ensure clinical governance is embedded into practice
  • A commitment to clinical supervision and staff development
  • Knowledge of research/audit processes and application
  • Proven ability to deal with difficult/sensitive situations
  • Motivated and able to motivate others

Desirable Criteria

  • Extensive Critical Care nursing experience
  • Experience in HR and Management Related Issues
  • Understanding of budget management
  • A good understanding of current issues relating to the NHS.
  • Experience in Policy/Service Development
  • Able to work at a high standard as stipulated in the General provision of Intensive Care document.
