About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex mental health conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments of referrals and admissions to the service, including risk assessments and formulation of management plans.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior staff, including trainees and junior psychiatrists.
  • Develop and implement service clinical priorities in line with national and professional guidance and standards.
  • Engage with service transformation programmes and contribute to the development of new services and initiatives.
  • Provide clinical supervision and education to trainees and junior staff, including core psychiatric experience and competencies in core general psychiatry.

Requirements
  • Medical Degree and Specialist Register status.
