Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Manager to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the research portfolio and overseeing the implementation of clinical research projects.

About the Role

The Clinical Research Manager will work closely with research active staff, the R&I research delivery and support teams, and external partners to ensure that all research projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Research Portfolio: Oversee the development and implementation of the research portfolio, ensuring that all research projects are aligned with the trust's strategic objectives.
  • Implement Clinical Research Projects: Work with research active staff and external partners to implement clinical research projects, ensuring that all necessary approvals and protocols are in place.
  • Monitor and Evaluate: Monitor and evaluate the progress of research projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Significant relevant experience of clinical research acquired over a minimum of 2 years.
  • Qualifications: Educated to Degree Level or significant relevant experience of clinical research acquired over a minimum of 2 years.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership and project management skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
