Transforming Public Services through Inclusive Leadership

We are seeking a visionary leader to drive cultural transformation and lead our Synergy Programme, a cross-government initiative that aims to deliver better public services through better ways of working.

As Head of Inclusion, you will play a critical role in shaping our inclusive culture, championing continuous improvement, and driving engagement across our organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and coordinating Synergy communications to ensure a clear, coherent, and consistent narrative that describes our transformation journey and ambitions.
  2. Working with communication partners across departments and with our strategic partners and suppliers to deliver high-quality, timely, and accurate communications.
  3. Providing empowering leadership and strategic direction to a small, skilled team to deliver programme priorities.
  4. Influencing and challenging assumptions in a collaborative and assertive way across a multi-stakeholder environment.

About the Synergy Programme

The Synergy Programme is a step change in how we deliver corporate functions across the Ministry of Justice, Home Office, DEFRA, and DWP, which together make up almost half of the civil service.

We want to enable better public services through better ways of working, supporting more than a quarter of a million officials and public servants who deliver some of the most vital and high-risk public services in our country.
