Forensic Psychologist

Join NELFT NHS Foundation Trust as a Forensic Psychologist and contribute to the delivery of high-quality mental health services to individuals with complex needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Forensic Psychology Service, working with individuals who require specialist psychological input to address their mental health needs. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, formulation, and treatment to individuals with complex mental health difficulties, including psychosis, personality disorder, and offending behavior.

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to inform treatment plans
• Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address complex mental health needs
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care pathways
• Provide consultation and advice to colleagues and other professionals
• Contribute to the development of service policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Doctoral qualification in psychology (clinical or forensic) accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
• Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Substantial experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs, including psychosis, personality disorder, and offending behavior
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
