Nova Hreod Academy, part of United Learning, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide clerking support to the Local Governing Body (LGB).

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient administration of local governance, including setting an annual meeting schedule, preparing agendas and minutes, and circulating papers to the LGB. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

About the Role

The Clerk to Governors will be responsible for:

  • Preparing agendas and minutes for LGB meetings
  • Circulating papers to the LGB at least seven days prior to the meeting
  • Attending and accurately minute all formal meetings of the LGB
  • Liaising with the Chair on the production and content of minutes

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a good general standard of education, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience of taking accurate, concise minutes in a school governance or corporate environment is desirable.

We offer a competitive salary of £2,554 per annum, approximately 130 hours worked flexibly during term time, including at least 10 evening meetings.
