About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Fostering Support Worker to join our Mainstream Fostering Team at Powys County Council. About the Job:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people, helping them to build resilience and confidence.
  • Work closely with foster carers and their families to understand their needs and provide tailored support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, social workers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting children and families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that the needs of children and young people are met.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

  • You will be a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong commitment to supporting children and families.
  • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, young people, and adults.
  • You will have a valid driving license and access to a car, as travel is an essential part of this role.
  • You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • You will be willing to engage in learning and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
