Credit Risk Wholesale Model Validator

About the Role
Harnham is seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Wholesale Model Validator to join our team. As a Credit Risk Model Validator, you will be responsible for validating and ensuring that all wholesale credit risk models are in-line with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate all wholesale credit risk models to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Utilize SAS daily to validate credit risk models and report to senior management
- Manage model processes end-to-end across the bank, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption
- Lead validation projects and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed
- Stay up-to-date with changing banking regulations and ensure that models are adapted accordingly
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new models, working closely with cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in credit risk management, with a strong focus on wholesale portfolios
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams
- Experience managing projects and leading teams, with a proven track record of success
- Proficiency in tools such as SAS, SQL, and/or Python, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- STEM degree from a top university, with a strong academic record
