About the Company
We are seeking a skilled Wholesale Credit Risk Model Validator for a prominent banking institution in the UK. In this pivotal role, you will engage with various models across the Wholesale division, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through your analytical expertise in tools such as SAS, SQL, and Python.
Key Responsibilities
As a Wholesale Credit Risk Model Validator, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough validation of all wholesale credit risk models
- Utilizing SAS on a daily basis to assess credit risk models and provide insights to senior leadership
- Overseeing model processes from inception to completion across the organization
- Managing validation initiatives and mentoring junior team members
- Staying informed about evolving banking regulations
- Contributing to the documentation, implementation, and enhancement of models.
Required Skills and Experience
To excel in the role of Wholesale Credit Risk Model Validator, candidates should possess:
- Extensive experience in credit risk management within wholesale portfolios
- Proven track record in validating wholesale credit risk models
- Exceptional communication abilities
- Experience in project management
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, and/or Python
- A STEM degree from a reputable university.
