You'll lead the detailed design of a 300km piping network for the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Island, ensuring accurate delivery aligned with system requirements and configuration changes. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support design delivery and manage integration of final design changes into 3D models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of piping work packages for UK nuclear projects
  • Chair kick-off meetings and ensure compliance with specifications, design processes, and quality assurance
  • Drive progress of designs and issue resolution to meet project delivery schedule
  • Mentor junior team members to enhance quality and competency

You'll also troubleshoot emergent design issues and act as a technical authority to propose solutions and ensure adherence to design specifications. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable you to effectively support and share knowledge with the team.

About You:

You'll be a proactive individual who meets commitments and deadlines, follows project engineering procedures, and possesses strong interpersonal skills for negotiation and conflict management. You should hold a degree or suitable diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have a solid understanding of piping engineering and plant design principles within the process industries.

Salary and Benefits:
