About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Network Rail as an Operations Support Administrator, providing administrative support to the line manager and contributing to the smooth operation of the Section.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of rosters and timesheets, ensuring accurate and efficient management of staff schedules.
  • Updating systems, databases, and records as required, including opening and closing works orders as directed.
  • Supporting the administration of the Assessment in The Line process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Maintaining efficient filing systems for the Section, with a focus on confidentiality and safety-critical documents.
  • Providing general office administration support to the Section Manager, utilizing a range of skills and knowledge to deliver effective support.
  • Assisting other Section Administrator positions as directed, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in clerical support and office management, with a strong understanding of administrative procedures.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant IT systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, using initiative and judgment to resolve problems and make decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the operational railway environment, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
