Key Responsibilities:

As a Planning Team Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Deploying and managing teams to ensure operational volumes are planned and executed efficiently.
  • Analyzing and preparing data to support operational departments with mid-to-long-term forecasts, maximizing efficiency.
  • Providing regular, timely updates to customers and communicating effectively with the operational team.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by participating in CI initiatives and developing support structures through CI workshops.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the team, responsible for all people processes, including T&A management, recruitment, appraisal, and talent development.
Requirements:

To succeed as a Planning Team Manager at GXO Logistics, Inc., you will need:

  • Experience in demand, capacity, and resource planning, preferably in third-party logistics or a similar environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and high-level IT capability, including building and developing spreadsheets and databases to manipulate data.
  • Confident communication skills to liaise with multiple functions across the business, including operations, finance, HR, senior management, and customers.
  • The ability to work independently, taking responsibility for processes and workload, as well as that of your team.
