We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our team at HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Limited.

The successful candidate will have experience in design management and possess technical knowledge of civil engineering/construction.

About the role

The Design Engineer will be responsible for managing consult design activities and deliverables to ensure they are completed in line with the agreed programme and Client requirements.

You will be the technical lead for permanent works design on the project unless a Design Manager is present.

You will be responsible for managing and communicating all design queries, comments and information required from design workshops and meetings and keep records accordingly. Within the role you will arrange internal design interface meetings with the construction department and ensure compliance with design management processes as required by the contract.

About the project

The project involves delivering a tunnelling project in Snowdonia, North Wales. Our work will significantly enhance the visual impact of the area, burying overhead cables and removing pylons to restore the natural beauty, wildlife and environmental heritage of this precious landscape.

Job Requirements:

  • Background or previous experience in design management
  • Technical knowledge of civil engineering/construction
  • Comprehensive communication and organisation skills

What we offer
