Job Description:

This exciting opportunity involves managing the civil, structural, and architectural elements of a large-scale data centre project in Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and construction phases of the project, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and high standards of quality and safety. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including design consultants, subcontractors, and clients, is a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

Lead the management of all civil, structural, and architectural aspects of the project, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives. Coordinate with the design team to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and resolve any technical challenges that arise. Oversee on-site construction activities, managing subcontractors to ensure that all works are carried out to required standards of quality and safety. Ensure the project remains on schedule and within budget by monitoring resources, materials, and labour. Regularly communicate with clients and internal teams to track progress, manage risks, and address any changes in scope. Implement safety protocols and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

An honours degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management is required. A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in managing large-scale construction projects is necessary, preferably in data centre or mission-critical environments. Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural systems, as well as experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades, is essential. Leadership and communication skills are crucial, as well as proficiency in project management software and familiarity with BIM processes.
