About the Role

The Director, Systems Engineering UK&I will be responsible for aligning technical resources within the region to achieve company goals. This senior leadership role requires a proven track record of leading successful teams in technical pre-sales or post-sales environments.

Key responsibilities include helping grow revenue within the region, providing organisational leadership, ensuring alignment and cooperation with overlay functions, and maintaining the company culture.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling into large organisations, leveraging channel partners, and understanding industry trends and competition.

A broad base of skills and experience is required, including intellectual curiosity, effective communication, adaptability, and strong ethics and personal integrity.

Responsibilities
  1. Grow Revenue Within the Region
    • Work with sales and pre-sales leadership to establish and track progress against a plan for creating long-term, sustainable growth.
    • Engage directly with pre-sales and sales leadership to strategise on team opportunities and ensure correct engagement on pre-sales activities.
    • Lead, report, and analyse the pipeline and forecast from a technical perspective.
    • Ensure execution at the first line manager level against strategic and tactical imperatives.
  2. Provide Organisational Leadership
    • Focused on driving the right behaviours and transformation across the entire sales organisation.
    • Ensure technical alignment and coverage as the company evolves and transforms.
    • Hire and lead a world-class team of Sales Engineers to ensure technical success throughout the sales process.
    • Develop, improve, and maintain resources, ensuring efficient deployment to meet and exceed sales goals while supporting customer and partner needs.
    • Help ensure all available overlay resources are aligned to the regions' success.
    • Mentor/coach and conduct regular 1:1s with team members to provide constructive feedback and skills development.
    • Ensure every employee has an Individual Development Plan.
    • Manage E:B within the guidance of finance.
  3. Alignment, Cooperation, and Partnership
    • Ensure alignment of technical message and approach across overlay functions inc. Channel, Data Architects, PSE, FSA, CTO, and PS organisations.
    • Build relationships and alignment with technical equivalents within regional Channel and Alliance partners.
    • Build your network.
  4. Maintain the Culture
    • Be the custodian of, and live the, values of Pure.
    • Recognise and reward outstanding behaviours and success within the team.
    • Undertake regular team-building events as appropriate.

A salary of approximately £90,000 - £110,000 per annum is expected, depending on experience.
