About the Role

Fife Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our Complex Care service. As a Care Assistant, you will work as part of a team to empower individuals with severe autism and learning disabilities to take control of their lives and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support service users with everyday life skills, personal care, and housework
  • Encourage social inclusion and offer opportunities for service users to access community settings
  • Assist with administering medication, keeping records, and recording information in service users' support plans
  • Work with the team to support individuals with anxieties and distress, and ensure their safety
  • Support service users to maintain regular contact with family and friends, attend social events, and engage in activities

Requirements

  • A willingness to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland
  • A commitment to registering with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and completing Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL)
