Accounts and Tax Manager

TPF Recruitment is supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in the South East who are looking for a Financial Services Manager to join their experienced team across a general accounts and tax focused position. This position will enable you to work very closely with the partner and support them with the larger more prestigious clients of the business where you'll be able to learn and develop advisory skills in areas such as advising on business transactions and general corporate finance.
As a Financial Services Manager, you will report directly to the partner and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of small business owners through to significantly sized groups. Dependent on your interests, there will be an opportunity to support the partner with more technical advisory project work but this isn't essential. You will have the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. This is a great position with an excellent firm who promote a great work life balance and modern culture.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Reporting: Prepare and review annual statutory accounts, corporation partnership and personal tax returns.
- Financial Management: Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns.
- Client Relationship Management: Manage your client portfolio and client relations.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers.
- Business Development: Onboard new clients and assist the partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation work as required.
- You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years' experience within practice.
- You will have worked as a Senior Accountant / Team Leader / Client Manager / Manager within a practice environment and have hands-on experience of accounts management, accounts tax and VAT.
