Female Care Worker

Brook Street is recruiting for a Female Care Worker to join our team at a secure children's home. The successful candidate will work with young people aged 12-16 years old, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of empathy and understanding. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The role involves providing one-to-one support to young people, participating in group activities, and maintaining accurate records and reports. You will also be required to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Support young people with complex needs, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, families, and other professionals.
- Participate in planning and implementation of individualized support plans.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
As a Female Care Worker, you will be entitled to a competitive salary of £26,000-£31,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as a sleep-in allowance, free meals on shift, and free onsite parking. We also offer a comprehensive induction program and ongoing training opportunities.
Requirements:- NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in childcare or knowledge of child protection issues and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work alternate weekends, bank holidays, and overnight stays (sleep-ins on a rota basis).
