About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our in-flight review team in the construction and engineering sector. As a key member of our Audit Quality Support Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of audit quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a number of in-flight reviews in the construction and engineering sector
  • Supporting AQST Partners and coaching AQST managers and senior managers on in-flight reviews and other quality initiatives
  • Building strong working relationships with audit teams and coaching them throughout the process of in-flight reviews
  • Assisting the Audit Learning and Development Team in reviews of technical training content
  • Working with the Audit Quality Support Team on ad hoc non-sector specific projects, including supporting external regulatory reviews where relevant

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification
  • Currently operating at director level or experienced senior manager level
  • Strong experience of working on audits of PIEs and listed entities, and of entities operating in the construction or engineering sector
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of UK auditing, ethical, and accounting standards, including IFRS
