Adult Clinical Psychologist Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a qualified specialist clinical psychology service to clients of the service team. This will include:

  • Providing specialist psychological assessments and therapy
  • Offering advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other professionals
  • Working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Directorate's and team's policies and procedures
Main Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Formulating and implementing plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of clients' psychological problems
  • Implementing a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups
  • Evaluating and making decisions about treatment options, taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models
  • Exercising autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients whose problems are managed by psychologically based standard care plans
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or its approved equivalent accredited by the British Psychological Society
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Postgraduate/doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
  • Accreditation from the UK Council for Psychotherapy, British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, or British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (or equivalent)
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £53,755 - £60,504 per annum pro rata, depending on experience. As a member of our team, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
