We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced paediatric physiotherapist to lead our Special Schools Physiotherapy Service in Brent. As a Band 6 Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to children and young people with physical needs in various settings, including special schools, nurseries, and community clinics.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric physiotherapy, including experience working with children with additional needs. You will be expected to undertake specialist physiotherapy assessments, devise client-centred treatment interventions, and provide leadership to SEN pathways for preschool and school-age children. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of physiotherapy clinical pathways and care packages, and coordinate physiotherapy services for children transitioning from preschool to school and into adult services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality physiotherapy services to children and young people with physical needs
- Lead the Special Schools Physiotherapy Service in Brent
- Undertake specialist physiotherapy assessments and devise client-centred treatment interventions
- Provide leadership to SEN pathways for preschool and school-age children
- Contribute to the development of physiotherapy clinical pathways and care packages
- Coordinate physiotherapy services for children transitioning from preschool to school and into adult services
- Valid Health and Care Professions Council Registration
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists
- Substantial experience as a Band 6 physiotherapist in Paediatrics
- Postgraduate experience covering core rotations
- Knowledge/experience in the use of relevant assessment and treatment approaches, including the use of standardised assessments
- A comprehensive induction into the community service followed by a local induction to introduce you to the role
