Pertemps is seeking a skilled Transport Clerk to join our team at a National Distribution Centre in West Yorkshire. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transport services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aid transport shift managers in directing and controlling resources to meet defined targets
  • Assist Senior Transport Controllers in managing and challenging drivers at de-brief
  • Be fully conversant with all company rules, regulations, procedures, processes, and policies
  • Ensure timely and low-cost deliveries
  • Ensure Customer Service levels are met
  • Control Vehicle maintenance
  • Ensure legal compliance of the transport operation
  • Promote equal opportunities culture
  • Ability to analyze statistical information
  • A methodical approach combined with attention to administrative detail
