Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our team at ADM in Knottingley. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transport function in a safe, legal, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective transportation strategies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Manage and maintain a high standard of customer service, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards.
  • Lead and inspire the transport team, including supervisors, drivers, and maintenance personnel, to achieve operational excellence.
  • Participate in site management leadership meetings and contribute to the achievement of company goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest road transport regulations and ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • National CPC holder with detailed knowledge of road transport regulations.
  • Proven experience in transport management, with a strong grasp of industry standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with customers, authorities, and team members.
  • Leadership skills that motivate and empower the team.
  • Competent in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
