About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oil Contracts Analyst to join our team at Richard James Recruitment Specialists Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management and risk analysis, with a focus on the physical oil sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data entry, as well as identifying and mitigating risks associated with contract terms and GT&Cs. They will also manage the confirmation process for marine bunker deals, address issues as they arise, and monitor and escalate where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contract Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract terms and GT&Cs.
  2. Trade Verification: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data entry, and verify trade details.
  3. Process Improvement: Identify process gaps and assist in the implementation of process and system enhancements.
  4. Collaboration: Contribute to risk management goals and support synergies across functions.
  5. Special Projects: Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements

  1. Experience as a Contracts Analyst within the physical commodities sector, preferably in waterborne oil contracts.
  2. Exposure to new system implementation.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office applications, with intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
