We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in gathering information to aid clinical understanding of children, contributing to service evaluation and quality improvement processes, and working in a trauma-informed way to provide consultation and supervision, leading assessments, formulation, and adapted individual therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the team in gathering information to aid clinical understanding of children.
  • Contribute to service evaluation and quality improvement processes.
  • Work in a trauma-informed way to provide consultation and supervision, leading assessments, formulation, and adapted individual therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide professional multi-agency consultations for those working with children at risk of committing crime.
Requirements
  • Some previous relevant work experience in the health or social care setting.
  • Evidence of ability to use own initiative in effective, timely completion of projects.
  • Experience of working with children and families.
  • Experience of work with patients or clients in health or social care.
  • An upper second class honours degree or higher in psychology.
  • Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Further post-graduate training in relevant areas of child development or professional psychology.
  • Well-developed ICT skills for communication, databases, data analysis, and presentation.
